Beware of Locksmith Scams!
Since most people call a locksmith only a few times in their lifetime – we have put together a list of tips to help you choose the right locksmith for you:
When shopping for a locksmith, make sure you are quoted a flat price and not just a “starting price”. Many companies will say something similar to “It will be $15 to come out plus $30 AND UP… for the service” but in the end they will charge you much more than that. This is called “Bait and Switch” – it is illegal and just bad business.
We have a flat rate for every service we provide and we can tell you over the phone exactly what it is that you will pay for the job you describe. No hidden fees, no surprises and no bogus charges for work we didn’t really have to do or parts we didn’t actually have to change.
Make sure that the locksmith you are calling is licensed and insured. The license should be listed on the company’s website. This is important because each locksmith has to undergo strict law-enforcement background checks in order to get a license. If you are inviting a stranger in to your home this should definitely be something you would want to check.
We are licensed and insured for your safety (and ours).
Our locksmith company license is LCO 5573.
Many companies will have dispatchers who know nothing about locks answering customer’s phone calls. They cannot answer your questions accurately without speaking to one of their technicians first. To save yourself time and money, make sure you speak to an experienced locksmith and explain what you need, in order to prevent uncomfortable misunderstandings.
We don't have a dispatcher. Whoever answered the phone is a locksmith – to answer your questions correctly and solve the problem as quickly and painlessly as possible.
